In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to knit 4×4 basketweave stitch. You can use any number of stitches for each block – 4 x 4, 5 x 5, 3 x 7, and so on – for variations on the basic basketweave.
(Flat knitting)
Start by casting on a multiple of 4 stitches.
Row 1-4: (K4, P4) across
Row 5-8: (P4, K4) across
Repeat Row 1-8 to desired length.
(Circular knitting)
Start by casting on a multiple of 4 stitches.
Round 1-4: (K4, P4) repeat that across
Round 5-8: (P4, K4) repeat that across.
Repeat Round 1-8 to desired length.
