Flower bud lace stitch is a beautiful lace stitch that suits spring and summer projects, the stitch goes well with lightweight wool or cotton yarn. To make this elegant stitch, you’ll need the following basic stitches:
1. YO on the knit side and purl side
2. SSK and its purl side equivalent SSP (SSP leans to the left on the right side, just like SSK, so you have to PURL IN THE BACK LOOP when doing it, which may seems a bit weird)
3. K2TOG and its purl side equivalent P2TOG
4. S2KP, also called CDD (centered double decrease) which creates a vertical bar while decreasing 3 sts to 1
