
Long tail cast on is one of the most widely used cast ons, it’s simple to learn and good for most knitting projects. There are basically two types of long tail cast on, they are: long tail cast on for knit stitch and long tail cast on for purl stitch. The former is a basic one that suits knitting projects starting with a Right Side row, while the latter is for projects starting with a Wrong Side row.
