How to Knit a Heart? A Great Ornament Gift for Your Loved One

Want to make a puffed heart? Well, today I am going to show you how to knit two hearts and sew them together to make a cute, little stuffed heart. This makes an interesting ornament that you can hang in your bedroom, attach it to your shoulder bag, or put it on a Christmas tree, it’s also a wonderful gift to express love and devotion to your loved one.

There are lots of knitted heart tutorials around the web, most of them are using garter stitch. This little heart is created in stockinette stitch, the reason why I choose stockinette is because I think it’s THE STITCH to go when you’re making knitted toys and stuffed projects, those aligned stockinette Vs is a unique feature of a knitted project.

This is also a nice project for anyone who wants to learn more about increase and decrease stitches, this little heart uses several increasing and decreasing techniques, with it, you’ll learn how to increase and decrease on the Right Side and Wrong Side of a piece. The stitches it uses include KFB (Knit Front Back), PFB (Purl Front Back, increase on WS), K2TOG (Knit 2 Together) and P2TOG (Purl 2 Together, decrease on WS).

Now, here is the pattern, and enjoy your sweet heart!

You can watch me making this heart by clicking on the video below.
