
Hurdle stitch is created by combining two rows of single rib and two rows of garter stitch together.
(Flat knitting)
Cast on a multiple of 2 stitches
Row 1 (RS): (k1, p1) repeat to end
Row 2 (WS): knit the knits and purl the purls
Row 3 (RS): knit
Row 4 (WS): knit
Repeat Row 1-4 to desired length.
(Circular knitting)
Cast on a multiple of 2 stitches
Rnd 1 (RS): (k1, p1) repeat to end
Rnd 2 (RS): repeat Rnd 1
Rnd 3 (RS): knit
Rnd 4 (RS): purl
Repeat Rnd 1-4 to desired length.
