What are Selvage Edges?
Selvage stitches are the first and last stitches in a row, which form the side edges the fabric. Selvage edges firm the fabric and hold shape, and are very important for seaming. There are two types of selvage that are often used, the first one is garter stitch selvage, the second one is slip stitch selvage. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to make slip stitch selvage.
