
Stockinette stitch is a basic stitch that makes up most knitting projects. In flat knitting, when you alternate one knit row with one purl row, you create the stockinette stitch. Stockinette piece tends to curl on the bottom edge. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to knit stockinette stitch in English and Continental style.
STOCKINETTE STITCH
(Flat knitting)
Row 1 (RS): Knit
Row 2 (WS): Purl
Repeat by knitting on RS rows, and purling on WS rows.
(Circular knitting)
In circular knitting, you knit in every round to desired length.
