Hy hy, thank you sooo much for this pattern, I am making a summer top so I want to know when I get to row 21 do I repeat step 1?
Knitwise Girl says
Hi Tumy,
yes, row 21 is the same as row 1, you just repeat row 1 to row 20 over and over again to knit the piece to your desired length.

M getting an extra stitch at row 11 and don’t know what tk do with it. I have tinked it several times. Also when knitting in round do I keep the extra K1 stitch??
Knitwise Girl says
Hi,
The extra stitch indicates not decreasing the required number of stitches in previous row, or this could happen by accidently adding an extra stitch. The best way to keep on knitting and avoid ripping it all out is to correct it on row 12. For circular knitting, just k2tog on row 12, for flat knitting, p2tog on row 12. Then go on with row 13.

Hello!
Thank you sooo much for sharing this pattern, your video is sooo helpful. I’m trying to knit a blanket for my baby… I wanted to ask, if I wanted a border on the left and right sides then do I just add that many stitches before and after the row pattern? Eg: 5 stitches at the start, the multiple of 10 + 1 (so for example 51 stitches), then another 5 stitches ? And knit/purl those 5 stitches at the start and end as normal? I hope this makes sense :S
Thanks so much!
Knitwise Girl says
Hi, Anam.
You can add a garter stitch border, that’s the simplest one.
I’d recommend adding a border with a width of 4 stitches, even number (Of course, you can choose a 5 stitch border, but you have to adjust the width of top and bottom borders accordingly)
And here’s how.
Cast on a multiple of 10 stitches plus 9 (4 stitches at the start, the multiple of 10 + 1 (so for example 51 stitches), then another 4 stitches. Correct! A total of 59 stitches)
Row 1 to Row 4 (bottom border): knit 4 rows of garter stitch (knit every row)
Row 5 and after: add left and right borders at the start and end of each row. Eg. knit 4, then work lace pattern to last 4 stitches, then knit 4.
Last 4 rows (top border): knit 4 rows of garter stitch, then bind off.
Hope this helps you.
Cheers!

Hi if i want to knit this pattern on the round do i still cast on the plus one stitch, and then knit all the purl rows
Madeleine says
I want to knit leaves patter in the round do I still have to add the plus one stitch eg 200 plus 1 and of course knit all even rows
Thanks
Madeleine
Knitwise Girl says
Hi Madeleine, yes you can add the plus one stitch as indicated on the chart (for round 15, 17, 19, the last two stitches should be k2tog instead of sl2, k1, p2sso), and knit all even rows. Have a nice day!
