Striped box stitch combines basket weave stitch with garter ribs.

Cast on a multiple of 6 stitches (or 3 sts+3)
Row 1 (RS): (k3, p3) repeat to end
Row 2 – 3: repeat Row 1
Row 4 (WS): purl
Row 5 – 6: repeat Row 4
Row 7 (RS): (p3, k3) repeat to end
Row 8 – 9: repeat Row 7
Row 10 -12: purl
Repeat Row 1-12 to desired length
(Circular knitting)
Cast on a multiple of 6 stitches (or 3 sts+3)
Rnd 1 (RS): (k3, p3) repeat to end
Rnd 2 – 3: repeat Rnd 1
Rnd 4 (RS): knit
Rnd 5 (RS): purl
Rnd 6 (RS): repeat Rnd 4
Rnd 7 (RS): (p3, k3) repeat to end
Rnd 8 – 9: repeat Rnd 7
